Every day there is one new creature, built from three real animals. One gave it its head, one its body, and one its legs, tail, or wings. The picture starts out pixelated. Your job is to name all three.

How it works

• Type any animal. There are 256 to choose from: pets, wild animals, birds, sea life, bugs.
• A wrong guess gets a number that shows how close it is, and which part it is closest to. The lower the number, the closer. #2 is as close as you can get without being right.
• Each animal you find turns its part of the picture sharp.
• Stuck? Sharpen the whole picture, up to twice. Each one counts as a guess.
• There is no guess limit. Fewer guesses is better.

Through the week

Monday is the easiest, with animals everyone knows. It gets harder toward the weekend, and every creature shows its difficulty out of 5 before you start.

On Fossil Friday, one of the three animals is extinct.

You see the full picture, the creature's name, one fact about each animal, your streak, and a spoiler-free result you can share with friends. Missed a day? Every past creature is in the archive.

•  This is a one-person project. The creature pictures are AI-generated, and I built the game with help from an AI coding assistant. I choose the animals, check every picture, and tune the difficulty by hand.
